I bought this guy at a local yard sale. The carver is unknown, however, I have seen similar pieces that were signed or with foil stickers that indicate this was made in Hawaii. Originally done in a natural dark finish of the Hawaiian Koa hardwood (very heavy for its size).

I sent this solid body carving to Lisa Byrd to give the bird a proper set of Roadrunner colors and was very pleased (as usual) with the results.

Measures 14" from tip of beak to tip of tail feathers and stands 5-3/8" tall and the body is approx 2-5/8" at its widest point. Very nice form. Excellent condition, however, there is a tiny shrinkage check on the top of the bill (does not go all the way through). Signed on the bottom Roadrunner - Lisa Byrd.
