This is a handcarved Great Blue Heron made from a solid piece of bone. It is unsigned, however, this was purchased about 15 years ago in Canada at a Native American craft store near the Mohawk Reservation, St. Lawrence River Region.

Measures about 10-1/2" tall on an Oak base. Condition is very fine, with no flaws. Has split bill, which lends a more lifelike appearance. Carved eyes.
