This is a handcarved & handpainted solid wood Shoveler drake decoy that was made by Canadian carver Maynard Caine. Outstanding form and paint detail.

Original paint. Glass eyes. Signed with his standard MC inscribed logo (see photos). This decoy shows a lot of character!

Measures 15-5/8" tip to tip by 5" wide and sits 5-1/2" high to the top of the head. True shoveler bill, with extra carving detail on top and bottom of bill.

No flaws to speak of. No chips, cracks, or gouges, but displays an overall slight dulling to the finish due to its age. Nice old gunner in near mint original condition.
