This is a carved solid wood Miniature Mallard Drake decoy by an unknown carver. This is an Asian import af about 1970's to 1980's vintage.

This is one of about 5 or 6 different profiles that were imported into the USA by the tens of thousands during that time period. It is common to see several Asian imports listed on eBay at any given time (some are described as antique or vintage - so watch out). Most were sold through Grants, K-Mart, Two Guys, and several other department stores of that time frame. These were carved in two sizes, both in miniature like this one, as well as a full size counterpart.

Measures 10" long by 3 " wide by 4" high. Glass or hard plastic eyes.

Condition is very fine in original paint. Has a minor blemish on top of back as can be seen in one of the photos.
